How to change your App Store region and install Faygo Connect
Faygo Connect isn't available in the Russian region of the App Store, so on an iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV with a Russian Apple ID the app doesn't show up in search. The fix is to switch your Apple ID country to one where the app is listed. No card is needed, and the whole thing takes about five minutes.
- #change App Store region
- #App Store Russia
- #Apple ID country
- #Faygo Connect iOS
- #app not available in your country
Step by step
- 1
Open Settings and tap your name (Apple ID) at the very top.
- 2
Choose Media & Purchases → View Account.
- 3
Tap Country/Region → Change Country or Region.
- 4
Pick a country where the app is available (for example Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan or Türkiye) and accept the terms.
- 5
Under payment method choose None, enter any address in the chosen country and save.
- 6
That's it! Go back to the App Store and install Faygo Connect — the button is on the iOS instructions page.
Good to know
- The region is shared by every device signed in with your Apple ID, so it's easiest to change it on the iPhone — your Mac and Apple TV pick it up automatically.
- Before switching, cancel any active Apple subscriptions and spend whatever is left on your Apple ID balance — otherwise the App Store won't let you change the country.
- An installed app keeps working even if you later switch the region back, but Faygo Connect updates only arrive while your Apple ID region is one where the app is available.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a foreign card to change the region?
- No. On the payment step choose None — no card is required to change the country. Any real address in the chosen country will do, such as a hotel or an office building. The Faygo subscription itself is paid in your account, not through the App Store.
- The App Store won't let me change the country — what now?
- Usually an active Apple subscription (iCloud+, Apple Music and the like), an unspent Apple ID balance or an unfinished purchase is in the way. Cancel the subscriptions and wait for the paid period to end, spend the balance and try again. If your Apple ID is part of a Family Sharing group, you'll need to leave it while you change the region.
- Do I have to change the region separately on a Mac or Apple TV?
- No. The country belongs to the Apple ID, not the device: once you change it on the iPhone it applies to the Mac and Apple TV signed in with the same Apple ID. Then install the app following the macOS instructions or the TV instructions.
